In the stifling hot Helsinki, a wife (Hanna Raiskinmäki) locks the bedroom door and takes her husband (Tommi Eronen) hostage. She is determined to squeeze the truth out of him. Every bit of it. This extreme act sets off a series of events in a network of intertwined lives that shakes the perception of what is true and who can be trusted. In addition to Hanna Raiskinmäki and Tommi Eronen, the cast includes Matleena Kuusniemi, Paavo Kääriäinen, and Ella Mettänen.
The timely and darkly humorous funny play Putoavat linnut (The Scent of Roses, 2022) by the award-winning British playwright and director Zinnie Harris features five obstinate individuals, who look at the world from their fixed perspective. Their relationships are at once painful and comical. Harris steers the story deftly, intertwining family dynamics and human relationships with societal and even global dimensions.
Putoavat linnut is directed by Riikka Oksanen, who has previously staged two highly popular and critically acclaimed productions at KOM-teatteri, Poika (2020) and Lou Salomé (2021).
